Granite Bay located to the east of Roseville and just west of Folsom Lake, and features two entrances to the recreational areas of Folsom Lake. The name is inspired from the bay in Folsom Lake and the underlain of granite of the Penryn Pluton of Cretaceous age, hence the geological basis for the place name.

Granite Bay is an upscale suburb with one of the state’s highest performing school districts according to Standardized Testing and Reporting. This is one of the few school districts in the state with its own parent sponsored educational foundations - raising funds all throughout the year to improve the local schools. The high school’s football and water polo teams have competed and won the state championship multiple times.

The median income per household in Granite Bay is over $130,000. Many local athletes, politicians, and even Hollywood celebrities call Granite Bay home.

Folsom Lake

Granite Bay is an ideal location to bring your family to enjoy Folsom Lake. The sandy beach, buoyed swim area and lifeguard services during the summer season make this area a safe location for swimming and playing in the water. Beals Point is a popular recreation area in Folsom Lake that offers campsites, bicycling, a snack bar, and picnic areas.
