ABOUT

Natomas is located on the northwest side of Sacramento. North Natomas was an agricultural area on the floodplains of the Sacramento River for many years, but in the mid-90s grew quickly with residential development, office parks, and retail construction. South Natomas developed predominantly as residential subdivisions from 1950 to 1980.

Arco Arena/Sleep Train Arena were the draw to the Natomas area for many years before the Sacramento Kings relocated to downtown Sacramento and the Golden 1 Center.

Natomas is also home to Sacramento International Airport and is the closest portion of the city to the airport.
