ABOUT

Carmichael is a suburb located about 10 miles outside of downtown Sacramento. Daniel W. Carmichael developed Carmichael Colony No. I in 1904. He later bought another 1,000 acres that he called Carmichael Colony No. 2. It bordered the first colony to the east and Walnut Avenue to the west; the southern boundary was Arden Way with Sutter Avenue to the north.

Today, Carmichael is home to many Sacramento Kings players and California state politicians. Schools are part of the San Juan Unified School District and high school students are split between a few area high schools, including some in Arden-Arcade.
